Rolling Stones album #2 of 2005
The Rolling Stones' A Bigger Bang was the Number Two album of the year, according to Rolling Stone magazine, joining fellow veterans Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder and Neil Young on the publication's list of the Top 50 Albums of 2005. The magazine dubbed A Bigger Bang the Stones' "best studio album in more than two decades...the concentrated stomp of brothers in arms playing in close quarters." A Bigger Bang was second only to rapper Kanye West's Late Registration.Springsteen's Devils And Dust made Number Five on the list, while Morrison's Magic Time landed at Number 17, McCartney's Chaos And Creation In The Backyard came in at Number 23, Wonder made Number 27 with A Time To Love and Young's Prairie Wind swept into the Number 40 spot.
The classic rock legends resume the North American leg of their world tour on January 10th in Montreal. The group also plays the Super Bowl XL Halftime Show on February 5th in Detroit, Michigan.
