U2 giving free CD package

To paraphrase the old American Express ads, membership in U2.com has its privileges. The Irish band is giving paid members of their fan club a special CD package titled U2.Communication. The two-disc package has eight live performances from the band's Vertigo world tour, including "City Of Blinding Lights," "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," and "Miss Sarajevo." It also comes with a CD-ROM that has a live version of "Vertigo," computer wallpapers and screensavers, and an interactive audio player. U2.Communication won't be sold anywhere - the only way to get a copy is to join the official website which costs $40 a year.

Their next show is on Wednesday, December 7th, in Hartford, Connecticut. They wrap things up for the year in Portland, Oregon, on December 19th.
