Velvet Revolver announce new dates

It started with a single New Year's Eve show, but now Velvet Revolver's holiday mini-tour is up to three dates. Theband has announced that it will play in Hollywood, Florida on January 2nd, adding that gig to its December 30th show in Atlantic City, New Jersey and the original December 31st concert in Sayreville, New Jersey. There's no word yet on whether more shows are forthcoming.

Velvet Revolver finished touring in support of their 2004 debut album, Contraband, this past summer with a handful of OzzFest appearances.

The group is expected to begin recording its sophomore effort shortly for release in 2006. Contraband has sold 1.8 million copies since coming out.
