Beatles have best albums ever says Q
The Beatles led all bands in a new poll of the best albums of all time by Britain's Q magazine. Revolver landed at 4 in the reader survey, followed by Abbey Road at 14, the "white album" at Number 17, and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band at 19. Radiohead had the poll's top two albums, with OK Computer and The Bends, respectively.U2 had a pair of albums in Q's Top 20, with Achtung Baby at 9 and The Joshua Tree at Number 11.
Others making the list included R.E.M.'s Automatic For The People at 7, Pink Floyd's The Dark Side Of The Moon at 15, the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds at18, and the Clash's London Calling at 20.
The Q poll's Top 10 also included Nirvana's Nevermind at 3, Definitely Maybe by Oasis at 5, the self-titled debut from the Stone Roses at 6, (What's The Story) Morning Glory? from Oasis at 8, and Radiohead's Kid A at 10.
