Pearl Jam successfully sue for domain
Pearl Jam have won a ruling against a webmaster who was controlling a domain called PearlJams.com, reports aversion.com. The National Arbitration Forum decided in favor of the alternative band last week, saying that the site caused confusion with the band and its name, which is a registered trademark. The site's owner used it as a gateway to affiliated sites and paid advertising, ranging from online discussions of Singer Eddie Vedder to sites selling freshwater pearls. There's no word on what will now happen to the domain name.Pearl Jam have been working on their eighth studio album for much of the past year, with tentative plans to release the disc in the early part of 2006.
Eddie Vedder said in an interview on the band's recent South American tour that the record would be the band's "hardest" musically.
