Rolling Stones resume "trial&error" tour
The Rolling Stones came back to the road on Tuesday, January 10th, resuming their A Bigger Bang tour in Montreal, Canada. The group's 2005 shows were applauded for their diverse repertoire, and guitarist Keith Richards told us that the Stones choose what they play by trial and error: [
click here to listen if you have a Backstage Pass] "You just sort of put it all through, you put all these songs back through the band and see what comes out, and in a weird way certain things come out and say 'Yes, me this time.' And you sort of immerse yourself in the Stones and remember chords that you didn't even know you knew and stuff like that." The Stones will tour North America through March 12th, with a side trip to South America and Mexico in February. The group will perform at halftime of Super Bowl XL on February 5th in Detroit, Michigan.
A Bigger Bang is nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album. The Grammys will be presented on February 8th in Los Angeles.
