Guns N' Roses reunion a myth
WIll there be a Guns N' Roses reunion this year? Rock photographer Ross Halfin posted a message on his official website saying that the original Guns N' Roses lineup would get back together in June to play at the Download Festival in England, and that Metallica would also be on the bill. However, that message was removed from the site, and the only Gn'R mention there now is about how Halfin had to do some writing about the band for a feature article that has some of his pictures - but Halfin did say, "The thing is, if you tell the truth, it sets off too many wars, or egos way out of control."Axl Rose, who turned 44 years old on Monday, February 6th, is the only original Guns N' Roses member still associated with the group. He's been working on an album called Chinese Democracy for years, and he recently hinted that it might be out this year.
Former lead guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan are currently in Velvet Revolver, along with latter-day drummer Matt Sorum.
Original drummer Steven Adler leads a group called Adler's Appetite.
Guitarist Izzy Stradlin has been virtually invisible in the music scene since he left the day-to-day GNR business before the release of the Use Your Illusion albums in 1991.
