Motley Crue resume tour
Motley Crue returned to the road on Friday, February 10th, resuming their Carnival Of Sins 2006 tour in Columbus, Georgia. The group has been touring for a full year since its original lineup reunited in 2004, and bassist Nikki Sixx says the appeal is based on the band's history and its reputation as a live act: "When the original band is back together, they're like, 'I know what that is. I know it's potent. I know this band more than any other and is completely over the top and we need to see it, because we never got to see it.' The people that did see it, it's like, 'You've got to go see this. It's the real deal.''' The Crue has 37 North American dates booked between now and early April.
The band, which released a greatest hits album last year, plans to go into the studio on May 1st to start recording a new studio album.
