Bono impressed by fans in Argentina

U2 were very impressed with the warm welcome it received after playing the first of two sold-out shows at River Plate soccer stadium in Buenos Aries, Argentina this week. According to the Associated Press, frontman Bono said, "Muchas gracias. I am very humbled to be received in such fine and grand circumstances." He added, "Wherever we go, our band is just being serenaded and the people are waving." Bono also told the country's President, Nestor Kirchner, that Argentineans are as passionate about music as they are about soccer.

U2 performed in New Zealand on Friday, March 3rd, and will wrap up the tour on April 8th in Honolulu, Hawaii.
