Gary Moore honoured to play with BB King
B.B. King is on what's being called his last U.K. tour, and he's got a special guest along for the shows -- singer-guitarist Gary Moore. Moore told us that he had no idea what he was signing on for, but he's glad he accepted the offer: "When I was asked to do these shows about four or five months ago, I just heard it was a B.B. King tour. And I kind of suspected it might be his last tour because he's 80 now, but no one had said that. And it wasn't until I saw the ads for it that said 'B.B. King's farewell U.K. tour,' and I thought, 'Oh God, man, it really is the last time,' and what an honor it is to be on those shows with him."
King and Moore have dates booked through April 4th, which also happens to be Moores 54th birthday.
Moore's got two releases in the pipeline -- a DVD on April 4th called One Night In Dublin: A Tribute To Phil Lynott, which was shot last August; and a new album on May 2nd called Old New Ballads Blues.
