Gilmour's solo albums to be re-released

With a new album due next week, Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour's first two solo albums have been slated for re-release. There will be no bonus tracks added to 1978's David Gilmour and 1984's About Face, but both will feature remastered sound and new liner notes. The reissues are due out on March 28th.

Both albums were certified gold and charted in the Billboard Top 40. DavidGilmour reached Number 29, while About Face got to Number 32.

Gilmour's third solo album, On An Island, comes out March 7th.

He kicks off a tour on March 10th in Dortmund, Germany. He plays 10 North American shows beginning April 4th in New York City.
