Green Day concert film to premiere
Green Day's concert film Bullet In A Bible, released on DVD last November, will make its television premiere on the Fuse cable music channel next Tuesday (March 14th) at 10 p.m. ET. The broadcast will feature never-before-seen excerpts that didn't make it into the finished film, which documents two massive stadium shows that the punk trio played in England last summer. The movie also included behind-the-scenes footage, private moments with the band and interviews about its multi-platinum, Grammy-winning "punk rock opera," American Idiot.GreenDay's 76 shows in 2005, which saw the band headlining stadiums for the first time, grossed $36.5 million and landed it at Number 10 on Billboard Boxscore's tally of the year's most successful tours.
American Idiot has sold five million copies since its release in September of 2004 and won numerous awards and accolades, including seven MTV Video Music Awards, six Billboard Music Awards, and two Grammys.
The members of Green Day have been taking a break and working on ideas for their next album since coming off the road in late 2005.
