Judas Priest set release date for DVD

Judas Priest are liberating the Live Vengeance '82 DVD from 2004's Metalogy box set. The DVD, filmed on December 12th, 1982 during a show in Memphis, Tennessee, will be released on its own on April 11th. It will be the same disc that was included in Metalogy with no bonus materials, but it will feature the heavy metal group's full 17-track performance in both stereo and 5.1 Surround Sound mixes.

The same day will also see the release of The Essential Judas Priest, a two-CD anthology.

Guitarist Glenn Tipton will re-release an expanded version of his 1997 solo album, Baptizm Of Fire, on Tuesday (March 7th), along with Edge Of The World, a collection of additional songs he recorded with late Who bassist John Entwistle, late Rainbow drummer Cozy Powell, and current Deep Purple keyboardist Don Airey.

Judas Priest plan to begin writing its next studio album this spring.
