The Kinks consider recording new album

It's been a decade or so since we've heard anything new out of the Kinks, but frontman Ray Davies hasn't ruled out working with his guitarist brother Dave again. Davies said the two have spoken recently and may get together in the near future to work on some new music: "I think what we'll do, we'll sit down and see if there's any music we feel is relevant, relevant to do, and if so we'll go into the studio and record it and maybe play dates. I never say never."

Ray is touring to promote his first solo album, Other People's Lives. He's also working on a film about the making of that album, and on a musical project with a New Orleans high school marching band.

Dave is still recuperating from a stroke he suffered in June of 2004.

Ray Davies begins a three-night stand in New York City on Friday (March 24th).
