Live expand tour

Live has expanded its upcoming U.S. tour to include several spring and summer dates. The trek now kicks off on April 22nd in Providence, Rhode Island and ends on July 23rd in Cadott, Wisconsin. The group will be on the road behind its seventh album, Songs From Black Mountain, which arrives on May 9th.

In related news, American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry sang a rendition of Johnny Cash's "I Walk The Line" that was reminiscent of Live's 2001 cover of the same song. Frontman Ed Kowalczyk said in a statement, "We wish Chris the best of luck in the competition! I thought he did a great job with the song. There's no doubt he's a talented performer and I hope he goes far."

Songs From Black Mountain features the single "The River."
