New Franz Ferdinand songs to be revealed

Franz Ferdinand have been working on new songs while on tour or during short breaks from the road, and bassist Bob Hardy told us that fans might get to hear a sample on the group's just-started trek with Death Cab For Cutie: "On the new EP that's coming out in Europe, there's a couple of new songs, so maybe we'll be. We're working on them, working them out to play live at the moment. So yeah, there probably will be, yeah. That's one of the fun things about being on a longer tour, you get, kind of like, soundchecks and various, you know, times to work out new material to play. Hopefully by the end of the month we'll play some new songs."

Franz Ferdinand are releasing an EP in the UK next month featuring some new material along with "The Fallen," the latest single from their sophomore album, You Could Have It So Much Better.

Franz Ferdinand and Death Cab For Cutie began their co-headlining North American tour on Wednesday, March 22nd, in Portland, Oregon. The bands played on Thursday, March 23rd, in Sacramento, California.
