No Dire Straits reunion in the works

There have been recent rumors about a possible Dire Straits reunion, but that's all they are - rumors. It all started a few weeks ago when Michael Eavis, who's the organizer of the Glastonbury Festival, said he was negotiating for the band to perform at the event next year. However, singer-guitarist Mark Knopfler has declared any talk about a Dire Straits reunion for Glastonbury 2007 to be completely untrue.

What Knopfler is thinking about is All The Roadrunning, his new duets album with country legend Emmylou Harris. It comes out April 25th, and they'll kick off a European tour in Brussels on May 26th. North American dates should be announced very soon.
