Ted Nugent in metal relity series

Ted Nugent is among the hard rock and heavy metal stars taking part in a reality TV series for VH1 called Supergroup. He's now living in a house in Las Vegas with former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach, Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, Biohazard bassist and Oz star Evan Seinfeld, and Foreigner drummer Jason Bonham, who's the son of late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, along with Kiss manager Doc McGhee, who's putting the musicians through their paces. The goal is for the guys to come up with at least one new song over the course of two weeks, and they'll also do a show at the Rain In The Desert nightclub at the Las Vegas hotel The Palms. Supergroup will debut on May 18th.

This kind of setup, where everyone is working together, is ideal for Nugent, who told us that he writes music in a collaborative setting: "All my songs come from a jam session, where you plug in -- you have no agenda, you have no ideas, you just plug in - and all of a sudden, your fingers create these rhythms, and the drummer goes, 'Yes!' And all of a sudden, you got a bunch of grossly uninhibited, over-the-top, irreverent, escapee licks coming out that keep the music fresh."
