U2 postpone world tour dates
U2 have postponed the remaining dates on their Vertigo world tour because of a family illness. A message on their official website reads, "This action is unavoidable due to the illness of an immediate family member of one of the band." The tour's promoter added, "Any fan of U2 will realize that this decision has not been taken lightly." The Irish band had 10 more shows on the schedule -- two in New Zealand, six in Australia, and one each in Japan and Hawaii, where the tour was scheduled to end on April 8th.There's no word on which band member's family has been affected. However, the Vertigo world tour was almost cancelled last year before it ever started because of health issues that affected one of guitarist the Edge's daughters, and the opening night wound up being delayed about a month.
