Whitesnake leader comments on DVD

Whitesnake leader David Coverdale loves the band's new DVD "Live... In The Still Of The Night". Everything from the performance to the lighting to the camera angles to the bonus material came off just the way he wanted. Coverdale told us that it all began with a conversation he had with the director, Hamish Hamilton: "When we sat down and talked, he said, 'What do you want to achieve with this?' And I said, 'I want to know what it's like to be at a Whitesnake audience.' And the bottom line is, it's a lot of fun."

Hamish Hamilton is among the biggest names in music DVDs, having worked with U2, Peter Gabriel, Motley Crue, and Phil Collins, among many others.

Whitesnake will spend most of May touring Japan, after which they have dates scheduled in Europe through early July. There's been talk about North American shows, but none have been announced yet.
