Bon Jovi & Nickelback announce tour dates

Bon Jovi's headed back to the stadiums, and they're not going alone. The band has tapped Nickelback to join them at open-air shows that start July 13th in Montreal. The current itinerary has seven shows, ending on July 27th in Foxboro, Massachusetts, but that could always change. The usually reliable melodicrock.com website previously reported that shows might also take place in Chicago and at both Yankee Stadium and Shea Stadium in New York City, which would mark the first time a band had played both buildings in the same year.

Bon Jovi wrapped up their Japanese tour on Tuesday, April 18th. They've got a few weeks off until their next gig, which is May 13th in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Nickelback opened for the Rolling Stones in Wellington, New Zealand, on Tuesday night. They kick off an Australian tour on Monday (April 24th) in Perth.

The Bon Jovi/Nickelback stadium itinerary includes (subject to change):
Jul 13 - Montreal, QUE - Parc Jean-Drapeau
Jul 15 - Philadelphia, PA - Citizens Bank Park
Jul 18-19 - East Rutherford, NJ - Giants Stadium
Jul 21 - Chicago, IL - Soldier Field Stadium
Jul 23 - Pittsburgh, PA - Heinz Field
Jul 27 - Foxboro, MA - Gillette Stadium
