Bruce Springsteen announces European tour

Bruce Springsteen is ramping things up as the release of his Pete Seeger tribute album gets closer. He's joined forces with amazon.com and posted the full-length video for the song "John Henry" at the online retailer's main page. In addition, people who pre-order the album will also get the videos for "Eric Canal" and "Pay Me My Money Down." The footage is from the DVD portion of We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions, which comes out April 25th.

The Boss has also announced a European tour in support of the album. He's got dates booked from May 5th to the 21st with the Seeger Sessions Band, who recorded the album with him at his house in New Jersey. For the shows, he's taken what was already a big group and expanded it into 17 pieces, including guitar, tuba, accordion, trombone, violin, and banjo. Springsteen is promising "an all-new evening of gospel, folk, and blues" for every show.

Springsteen is expected to reveal his North American tour plans soon. The only show announced so far is April 30th at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
