Bruce Springsteen announces US tour

As expected, Bruce Springsteen has announced the US itinerary in support of his new album We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions. The month-long tour begins May 27th in Boston, and the dates run through a two-night homestand in Holmdel, New Jersey, on June 24th and 25th. On-sale information hasn't been set, but it should come out very soon. We Shall Overcome, which features songs written and recorded by folk music icon Pete Seeger, comes out next Tuesday (April 25th).

Springsteen and his 17-piece Seeger Sessions Band will also do four "rehearsal" shows in Asbury Park, New Jersey, in the next week, and the tour officially opens April 30th in New Orleans at Jazz Fest. Following that show, the group flies to Europe for a run of shows between May 5th and 21st.
