Carlos Santana to get career award

Carlos Santana will be saluted in June for his long career. The guitarist will perform and be inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall Of Fame on June 23rd, along with classical pianist Andre Watts. Special guests and performers, including the theatre troupe the Blue Man Group, are being lined up for the event at the Hollywood Bowl in California, alongside the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and conductor John Mauceri. Proceeds from the event will go to Music Matters, the music education programs overseen by the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

The Santana band kicks off a European tour in Helsinki, Finland, on April 30th. The dates are in support of his latest album, which is called All That I Am. North American shows haven't been announced yet.
