David Gilmour guitar on auction

An electric guitar autographed by David Gilmour on his recent North American tour is up for grabs in an online auction. The black Fender Stratocaster, which is listed as being "used -- good condition with some scuff marks," is inscribed "Save The Earth, David Gilmour." It was signed backstage at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland on April 17th, during Gilmour's On An Island tour. Proceeds from the sale will go to the Save The Earth Foundation, which funds environmental research and educates people about environmental issues. The auction also has guitars signed by Carlos Santana, Fleetwood Mac, and B.B. King, among others, along with memorabilia from artists including the late Stevie Ray Vaughan, AC/DC, Aerosmith, the Grateful Dead, the Eagles, the Rolling Stones, U2, Rush, Queen, and ZZ Top.
