David Gilmour show live in cinemas

David Gilmour was on American TV last week on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, and his next stop just might be your local multiplex. His March 7th performance at the Mermaid Theatre in London, which was the first public show on his tour for his new album On An Island, was shot and recorded for various BBC broadcasts, and the footage will now be shown in movie theatres across the US. Gilmour wrapped up the North American leg of his On An Island tour last Thursday (April 20th) at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

The Pink Floyd singer/guitarist and his solo band will shoot a DVD at the Royal Albert Hall in London on May 29th and 30th.
