The Doors planning massive box set

Doors fans better start saving up their money now -- a massive new box set is coming later this year. According to billboard, the band will release a 12-disc package this fall, made up of their first six studio albums and six DVDs. The CDs will include bonus tracks and will be remastered, while the DVDs will have the music remixed into 5.1 Surround Sound. The Doors will follow that up by packaging each album from the box in a new two-CD in January. There are also plans for a vinyl box set of their first six albums.

The Doors formed in 1965, and released their self-titled debut album in January 1967.
