Jerry Garcia toilet stolen
According to a weekend AP report, a toilet once belonging to the late Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead was recently stolen from a California driveway, as it awaited shipment to an online casino site. The salmon-colored commode came from the master bathroom at Garcia's Marin County home, which was purchased in 1997 by Henry Koltys. Koltys had planned to sell the toilet online at goldenpalace.com to raise money for charity.
The Canadian site, which has sold everything from William Shatner's kidney stones to a grilled cheese sandwich with the image of the Virgin Mary on it, has offered a $250 reward for the potty's return. Garcia died in 1995 at the age of 53.
