Kiss bassist says MYSPACE not for him

Everyone's on myspace.com -- well, everyone except Gene Simmons. The singer and bassist for Kiss has his own website at genesimmons.com, and he wants people to know that's where he is, not on the big social networking site. Simmons posted this message on his web page: "ATTENTION!!! Please be wary of MYSPACE.COM. I am not now, nor have ever been on the site. I do not post there. And anyone claiming to be me is not. If you find anyone who is claiming to be Gene Simmons, kindly let me know and we will take appropriate action."

ZZ Top is another rock act that's looking at fake post-ers on myspace.

Kiss, Queen, Def Leppard, and Judas Priest have been announced as recipients at the first annual VH1 Rock Honors. The event, which will be shot May 25th in Las Vegas, will air May 31st.
