Lacuna Coil premier new video
Lacuna Coil will premiere the video for its new single, "Our Truth," on Saturday, April 1st, on MTV2's Headbangers Ball. The group will appear as in-studio guests to talk about its new album, Karmacode, which comes out next Tuesday (April 4th). The new disc follows up the band's 2002 breakthrough effort, Comalies, which has sold over 230,000 copies in the U.S.
The Italian act is currently on the road in this country for the first time since the summer of 2004. Singer Cristina Scabbia told us that the band has had no problem reconnecting with fans: "Yeah, actually, we have a very strong basis of fans we establish, you know, a very loyal fan base here in the U.S. Of course, it's a totally different process compared to the European one, because European one is working more with the press, and in America you really have to prove your talent, your potential on stage."
Lacuna Coil's last U.S. appearance was on the second stage of Ozzfest in 2004. The band will perform on the festival's main stage this summer.
The Italian band is supporting Rob Zombie on his North American run. They played on Friday, March 31st in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The band will appear on ABC-TV's Jimmy Kimmel Live and also on ABC News' "The Mix" next month to promote Karmacode.
