Red Hot Chili Peppers sign up for Voodoo
The Red Hot Chili Peppers will perform at the eighth Voodoo Music Experience, scheduled for October 28th and 29th in New Orleans, according to a press release. Last year's edition of the festival was the first major music event to be held in the city following the destruction wrought by Hurricane Katrina last fall. That lineup featured Nine Inch Nails, Queens Of The Stone Age, the Bravery and many others.
The Chili Peppers are the first act to be confirmed for this October's show. The venue and more artists will be announced in the weeks ahead.
Past performers have included Green Day, the Beastie Boys, Tool, the White Stripes, Eminem, Stone Temple Pilots, No Doubt, Velvet Revolver and many more.
More information can be found at voodoomusicfest.com.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers release their new double CD, Stadium Arcadium, on May 9th.
