Tommy Lee sits out final Motley Crue shows

Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee elected, on the advice of doctors, to completely sit out the last few dates on the band's current North American tour. According to Blabbermouth.net, Dark New Day and ex-Skrape drummer Will Hunt played the last two nights and will be behind the kit for the final show tonight (Thursday, April 13th) in Regina, Canada. Lee has been suffering from tendonitis in his right hand, leading his doctor to suggest that the hard-hitting drummer stand down. A member of a Crue cover band called Broken Toyz filled in at an April 5th Canadian date.

Hunt previously played drums in Lee's solo band, Methods Of Mayhem.

Following the completion of this leg of dates, Motley Crue is expected to begin working on a new studio album in early May, the first to feature the original lineup since 1997's Generation Swine.
