Axl Rose arrested in Stockholm
Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose has been arrested in Sweden for violent conduct after allegedly biting a hotel security guard in the leg during a fight on Tuesday, June 27th, 2006. It was unclear what caused the fight, but Swedish tabloids said the guard tried to intervene when Rose started arguing with a woman in the hotel lobby.A police spokeswoman says Axl Rose was "too intoxicated" to be questioned. A prosecutor will decide whether to press charges. Axl, real name William Bailey, could face up to four years in prison if charged and convicted of violent conduct.
Guns N' Roses played a concert at the Sockholm's Globe Arena on Monday and had been partying at a well-known nightclub before the scuffle. They were scheduled to perform in Oslo, Norway, on Wednesday, but it was unclear whether the concert would be canceled, concert organizer Ema Telstar spokeswoman Catarina Oscarsson said.
