Pink Floyd Pulse DVD coming next month
It's taken a bit longer than expected, but Pink Floyd will finally release their Pulse DVD on July 11th. The two-disc set mixes live footage from the 14 shows that singer-guitarist David Gilmour, drummer Nick Mason, and keyboardist Rick Wright did at Earl's Court in London in December 1994 on the Division Bell tour, with videos and other promotional material, the films used as a backdrop during the shows, Pink Floyd's induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 1996, and a feature called "Bootlegging The Bootleggers" that uses material shot from the audience. There's also a complete performance of the 1973 album The Dark Side Of The Moon.Until the band reunited with singer-bassist Roger Waters last summer for Live 8 in Hyde Park in London, Earl's Court were the last shows Pink Floyd played.
The DVD has been scheduled for release before, most recently in January. No explanation has been given for the delays.
