Tool playing Korea for the first time
Tool will make its first ever appearance in South Korea when the band plays in the capital city of Seoul on August 15th as direct support for Metallica, reports Blabbermouth.net. The show will also mark Metallica's first concert in the country since April of 1998, with more support acts expected to be announced soon. The show comes after Tool plays three early August dates in California but before it begins the main portion of its next North American tour in Hawaii on August 18th.
Tool is slated to play bigger venues and bring out a larger stage production on its next North American trek than on May's 15-date theatre tour.
The band's fourth studio album, 10,000 Days, has sold over one million copies since debuting at Number One on the Billboard Top 200 eight weeks ago.
Metallica is spending the summer playing festivals in Europe and Asia before heading back into the studio to resume work on its next studio effort.
