Work proceeding on new Offspring album
The Offspring has started work on its eighth studio album, according to a posting by lead singer Dexter Holland at the band's official website. Holland wrote, in part, "We're working on songs (we're probably a little over halfway), and meeting with some awesome record producers. I would tell you who they are, but I'm not sure that I could trust all of you to keep it a secret. So we'll just have to leave it to your imaginations...I think we'll be recording the new record in a couple months."Drummer Atom Willard is currently on tour with Angels And Airwaves.
Holland recently wrote a song called "Tokyo I'm On My Way" for Japanese duo Puffy Ami Yumi.
The Offspring's last collection of all-new material, Splinter, came out in 2003. The group issued a greatest hits collection in June of last year.
