Keith Richards says he's ready to rock
The past few months have been rough for Keith Richards, but he's ready to get back to work with the Rolling Stones. Richards is fully recovered from the head injury which required surgery back in May, and he's posted a video update on his official keithrichards.com website. In the clip, Richards says: "Hi everybody (laughs) Whoops! Hey, everything's cool, my guitar is tuned, I'm ready to go, and I'd like to take the time here to thank thousands of youse for the messages I got. You know, it was enough to make an old man's heart cry. Hey, it was a nasty knock, but we got over it, and I'm ready to rock." Keith fell out of a tree while vacationing in Fiji in late April. The severity of his injuries was always downplayed by Stones reps, but he underwent cranial surgery on May 8th. The Stones were forced to push back the start of their European summer tour until they knew Richards could do it.
The band will hit the road again starting July 11th in Milan, Italy.
