Oasis to release "Clocks" Greatest Hits

Oasis will release a greatest hits collection called Stop The Clocks on November 21st. The two-CD, 18-song set will be the first retrospective issued by the British band, with the tracks selected by the members of the group themselves. In addition to hits like "Wonderwall" and "Supersonic," the package will include "Acquiesce," a B-side that is considered by fans to be one of the band's greatest songs ever. Also included is another rarity called "Half The World Away," which was used as the theme song for the British TV series The Royle Family.

Oasis was formed in the early Nineties by brothers Liam Gallagher on vocals and Noel Gallagher on guitar. The group released "Supersonic" as its debut single in 1994, followed by its first album, Definitely Maybe.

The brit-pop group scored a major hit in the US and worldwide with 1995's (What's The Story) Morning Glory?, which featured "Wonderwall," "Champagne Supernova" and "Don't Look Back In Anger."

The latest Oasis album, Don't Believe The Truth, came out last year. The band is currently on a break before starting work on a new record.
