Producers nix the Rolling Stones appearing with Keith Richards in Pirates Of The Caribbean
Keith Richards reportedly pitched the idea of his Rolling Stones bandmates appearing with him in the third and final Pirates of The Caribbean movie, but it didn't work out. Richards, who's now back on the road with the Stones after recovering from brain surgery in May, will play the father of Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow, when the shooting for the third and final installment begins next month.Entertainment.com reported that a source close to the project said that, "Keith wanted Mick Jagger, Ron Wood and Charlie Watts to be in it too. He was hoping they could be this vile pirate crew but the script doesn't allow for it. He was disappointed but he still wasn't going to pass up on the chance to play pirates with Johnny."
The second installment of the trilogy, titled Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, opened last week.
The Rolling Stones will perform next on Friday, July 14th, in Vienna.
