Rolling Stones resume tour
The Rolling Stones are ready to start the European leg of their A Bigger Bang world tour in Milan, Italy, on Tuesday, July 11th. The tour was postponed after Keith Richards underwent cranial surgery after falling from a tree in Fiji in April, and the guitarist told a press conference in Milan on Monday, July 10th, "Everything's cool... I've recovered... I can't wait to get back on the stage," according to Reuters.Richards also claimed the tree story has been blown out of proportion, and that it wasn't a coconut tree. Richards said, "If you saw the tree you would understand the joke... It was a very little tree."
Fellow guitarist Ronnie Wood recently got out of an alcohol rehab center in the U.K., and he's also ready to get back on stage, saying, "I feel great."
The Stones will play dates across Europe until September 3rd, and there are rumors about a handful of shows in Canada in the autumn, though nothing's been confirmed.
