Axl unable to complete Guns N' Roses gig
Guns N' Roses singer W. Axl Rose fell ill and was unable to complete the band's second show at Wembley Stadium in London, England on Sunday night (July 30th). Axl left the stage and was replaced by former Skid Row vocalist Sebastian Bach for the last two songs, "Nightrain" and "Paradise City." The group's set was shorter than usual and featured no songs from the upcoming Chinese Democracy album, which the band has been playing regularly throughout its European tour. There were no updates on Rose's condition or what was ailing him.
The night before (Saturday, July 29th), Guns N' Roses played a surprise acoustic club show in London, with the audience largely made up of fans from that night's first Wembley gig whose names had been read onstage by Rose.
Sunday night's show concluded the band's summer European run. Guns N' Roses is slated to headline a radio festival in the Los Angeles area on September 23rd, with more US dates expected to follow.
