Black Crowes heading for Vegoose Festival

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers and the Black Crowes are among the acts taking part in this year's Vegoose Festival. It takes place October 27th through the 31st (Halloween) in Las Vegas, and the initial list of artists also includes Grateful Dead drummers Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, who will perform as the Rhythm Devils with Phish bassist Mike Gordon and jam-scene guitar icon Steve Kimock. Tickets for the second annual Vegoose Festival go on sale August 19th.

Vegoose is run by the same people who stage the annual Bonnaroo Festival every spring in Manchester, Tennessee.

The next stop for Petty and company is Saturday (August 12th) in Hartford, Connecticut.

The Crowes play tonight (Thursday, August 10th) at the Snow King Resort in Jackson, Wyoming.
