Black Crowes part with keyboardist
It's been a hectic week so far for the Black Crowes. The band and keyboardist Eddie Hawrysch (pronounced "harsh") have parted company due to unspecified "personal issues." It's unknown whether those are the same "issues" that caused Hawrysch to leave the group before a show in Orlando, Florida, in January, though he was back for the tourdates that began in March. The group has brought in Rob Clores -- who has played with Crowes guitarist Rich Robinson, Spin Doctors frontman Chris Barron, and Blues Traveler singer John Popper, among others -- to handle keyboard duties for shows that pick up again next Thursday (September 7th) in Richmond, Virginia.
Also, this week was supposed to see their two "lost" albums Tall and Band combined into one package for an archival release titled The Lost Crowes, but it was pushed back at the last minute due to "a recently discovered manufacturing error." The album is now scheduled to come out September 26th. It was actually on iTunes briefly on Tuesday, August 29th, but it has now been pulled and won't be available again until September 26th.
