Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco lead new "Nightmare"

Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, She Wants Revenge and Marilyn Manson are all contributing songs to a new soundtrack for the 1993 animated film The Nightmare Before Christmas. According to MTV.com, a special 3-D edition of the Tim Burton-produced movie will be re-released in select theatres on October 20th, while the new double-CD soundtrack will hit stores on the 24th. Each of the artists, including Fiona Apple, will cover a song featured in the film's score.

Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz said, "Disney approached our management about us doing a song, and we're obsessed with that film and Danny Elfman (who wrote the score). And of course I've got my Nightmare tattoos, so we were like, 'Yes!'"

The first disc in the set will feature Elfman's original score and 10 songs he composed for the movie, while the second disc will include the new cover versions as well as demos of two of Elfman's tunes.

The Nightmare Before Christmas was not a huge success when it opened in October of '93, but became a cult hit after it was released on home video the following year. Panic! At The Disco frontman Brendan Urie said, "We all watched it as kids and we all watch it now, so it's really cool to be a part of it."
