The Intrepid Fox pub bites the dust
One of the last places for lovers of rock and alternative music to visit in London is about to be destroyed. You may know of the place - it's the Intrepid Fox pub in Wardour Street, London - it's been there for years and it's listed in quite a few guide books as a place to visit judging by the amount of curious tourists that come through the doors.
The brewery have sold the building to a property developer to turn it into flats - they've given the staff and even the landlord who's been living there for some 17 years just two weeks notice to vacate the premises.
The Intrepid Fox has been a central point for the London alternative scene for years. It's well loved and if it goes the currently small community will definatly be badly affected - there's not that many other places for us to go - and certainly nowhere like the Fox.
