John Fogerty welcomes Springsteen

John Fogerty welcomed an old friend to the stage over the weekend -- Bruce Springsteen. Fogerty was playing the P.N.C. Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey, on Saturday (August 5th), when he announced that he had met a kid backstage with a guitar, and he wanted to bring the young man on to the stage, at which point he said, "Oh yeah, his name is Bruce." According to backstreets.com, The Boss then came out with an uncharacteristic red-and-white guitar and joined John on a version of the Little Richard classic "Long Tall Sally."

Fogerty played on Tuesday, August 8th, at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. After this solo show, he resumes his summer tour with country legend Willie Nelson on Wednesday, August 9th, at the Toyota Pavilion At Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
