Lynyrd Skynyrd refunding cancelled tix

Lynyrd Skynyrd has jumped in to make sure their fans don't lose money because a show was cancelled. The band was supposed to play Arthur W. Purdue Stadium in Salisbury, Maryland, on July 4th, but the show was dropped because of severe weather. The promoter stopped giving refunds after July 31st, but the group decided to join up with the minor league Delmarva Shorebirds baseball team and others to make sure everyone got their money back. Lead singer Johnny Van Zant said, "Our fans are what keep us going. When we heard about this, we were all shocked! We have very loyal fans and are also loyal to them." On top of the refunds, the group also hopes to play a make-up show in the area.

Skynyrd played Jackson County Expo Park in Medford, Oregon, on Wednesday, August 16th.
