Mark Knopfler to play benefit in Maine

Mark Knopfler has scheduled one last show in the U.S. for this year, at the Opera House At Boothbay Harbor in Maine on September 20th. It's a benefit show, with proceeds going to The Opera House Challenge. The goal is to raise $500,000 by the end of September through this show and other activities, and, if the target is met, a local family will match it with another half-million dollars, and the Opera House mortgage will be paid off. At the show, Knopfler will likely be backed by a three-piece band made up of longtime friends and sidemen Guy Fletcher, Richard Bennett, and Glenn Worf.

Earlier this week, Knopfler and Emmylou Harris released the track "Beachcombing" on iTunes as the second single from their album All The Roadrunning.
