Paul McCartney divorce turning ugly

Paul McCartney's divorce from Heather Mills is turning ugly. McCartney's staff accidentally called the police on Heather on Sunday (August 7th), when she attempted to enter Paul's London townhouse to drop of their three-year-old daughter Beatrice. A source close to Heather told Britain's The Daily Mail that, "(Heather) doesn't understand if Paul is trying to publicly humiliate her, or whether it was simply a genuine misunderstanding. Fortunately the police recognized her straight away and the matter was resolved amicably."

It's also been reported that Paul has cut off Heather's access to the couple's joint bank account, after Paul allegedly discovered several four- and five-figure withdrawals. A source told The Sun that, "Sir Paul was disgusted by the obscene amounts of money Heather was withdrawing. It seems she is determined to spend (his) money while she has the chance before the divorce goes through."

Several British newspapers have reported that Paul has been cutting off most of Heather's access to his various properties, and has used an intermediary to deal with the handling of Beatrice between custody tradeoffs. McCartney reportedly had his lawyer fire off a legal memo to Heather for taking several bottles of cleaning fluid from his Sussex estate without permission.

Beatlefan magazine's executive editor Al Sussman told us that after undertaking four major tours that were top-heavy with Beatles hits, some fans are eager to hear McCartney delve more deeply in to his post-1970 catalogue: "There are enough fans who are also clamoring for him to do more Wings stuff, for him to do more stuff from his solo career, especially from the '80s albums, the more successful albums."
