Queens Of The Stone Age tapped for new Los Angeles festival
Queens Of The Stone Age and Beck have been tapped to head up the bill for the first LA Weekly Detour Music Festival, scheduled for October 7th in downtown Los Angeles. The multi-stage event will also feature performances from Basement Jaxx, Mike Patton's Peeping Tom, Redd Kross, Blackalicious, the Like and a number of others, along with several DJ sets. More acts are expected to be announced in the next few weeks. Tickets for the show go on sale tomorrow (Saturday, August 26th) at 1 p.m. ET through TicketMaster.

The show is being promoted by Goldenvoice, organizers of the annual Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.
A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to Tree People, an organization dedicated to improving neighborhoods in the Los Angeles area through conservation and urban management.
